Dr Sam Shah is a Global Clinical & Digital Advisor within healthcare. He was voted as 4th most influential BAME person in technology in the UK and was also selected as one of the finalists for Digital Leader 100. Sam was previously Director of Digital Development for NHS England and NHSx and has worked for the Department for International Trade. He is an NHS Consultant and also works in NHS primary care. Sam has worked on a number of initiatives including the flagship project to digitise urgent care in the NHS. Sam is experienced in delivering transformation supported and enabled by digital technology, having worked on the launch of online shopping services and online banking systems. He has supported the development and adoption of a number of technology projects in England but has also worked with Governments and digital health start-ups from across the world. Sam is one of the inaugural members of the NHS Digital Academy and is committed to improving diversity in the digital workforce. Sam has been championing an approach to digital transformation with a focus on users.
